Abstract

The leadership style of Chief Madrasah Ibtidaiyah affects the motivation and performance of teachers. The design of a qualitative approach was used in this study. Qualitative data analysis involves three processes, namely data organization, data reduction, and data interpretation. Research results showed that Chief Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in the teacher environment adopted three styles of leadership: transformational (forwarding values, improving teacher quality through training), participatory (implicating teachers in decision-making, increasing motivation), and transactional (managing tasks, giving awards, and increasing teacher loyalty). The study provides training and policy development potential to improve teacher performance in training

 

Abstrak: Gaya kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah memengaruhi motivasi dan kinerja guru. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan Kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yang terletak di lingkungan pesantren. Desain pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara mendalam kepada kepala sekolah dan guru, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Analisis data kualitatif melibatkan tiga proses, yaitu mengorganisir data, mereduksi data, dan menafsirkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kepala Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di lingkungan pesantren mengadopsi tiga gaya kepemimpinan: transformasional (mengedepankan nilai, peningkatan kualitas guru melalui pelatihan), partisipatif (melibatkan guru dalam pengambilan keputusan, meningkatkan motivasi), dan transaksional (mengelola tugas, memberikan penghargaan, dan meningkatkan loyalitas guru). Studi ini memberikan potensi pengembangan pelatihan dan kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru di pesantren
