Kemandirian Belajar Siswa Melayu di SMPN 2 Sungai Raya Kepulauan

Abstract

Learning independence refers to the learner's specific way of controlling his learning. Ethnicity or ethnic groups can have an influence on learning independence, but these factors are complex and can vary depending on social, cultural and educational contexts. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning independence of Malay students at SMPN 2 Sungai Raya Kepulauan. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with Grade 9 Malay students. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the level of independence of Malay students at SMPN 2 Sungai Raya Kepulauan, especially grade 9, is not optimal. Because they have not been able to meet the existing indicators of independence in learning, namely the ability to plan learning, the ability to manage time, the ability to organize themselves, the ability to seek information, the ability to solve problems and the ability to communicate.

 

Abstrak: Kemandirian belajar mengacu pada cara spesifik pembelajar dalam mengontrol belajarnya. Suku atau kelompok etnis dapat memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemandirian belajar, tetapi faktor-faktor ini bersifat kompleks dan dapat bervariasi tergantung pada konteks sosial, budaya, dan pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemandirian belajar siswa Melayu di SMPN 2 Sungai Raya Kepulauan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam kepada siswa melayu kelas 9. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kemandirian pada siswa Melayu di SMPN 2 Sungai Raya Kepulauan khususnya kelas 9 yaitu belum maksimal. Karena mereka belum bisa memenuhi indikator yang ada dalam kemandirian belajar yaitu Kemampuan merencanakan belajar, Kemampuan mengelola waktu, Kemampuan mengatur diri, Kemampuan mencari informasi, Kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan Kemampuan berkomunikasi.
